Webelos to Boy Scouts
Troop 93 welcomes boys who have both been in Webelos, and those that are new to scouting. Each winter, typically in December, the troop holds an open house and invites area Webelos scouts to come and learn more about the Troop. Our Boy Scouts work with Cub Scouts at this open house meeting to learn about camping, cooking, backpacking and other fun things the troop does regularly. Parents are encouraged to attend and have questions answered about the Troop, our leadership, our activities and how to get involved.
The crossover from Webelos to Boy Scouts usually occurs in February or March. Troop 93 is happy to attend your Pack's Blue & Gold banquet to "receive" any new scouts - we present new members of our trop ith a Troop 93 neckerchief and a scout handbook upon joining.
Troop 93 does not charge an annual fee to be a part of the troop. Scouts are asked to participate in our annual Christmas Tree sale fundraiser in order to support their year in scouting. Camp outs and some other activities cost a small additional fee to cover the cost of food, rentals, etc. But the money raised through the tree sale covers all awards, badges, troop gear, and provies some money towards boys' attending summer camp at Boxwell.
We look forward to having you become a part of our Troop! For more information, contact Scoutmaster Matthew Smith at msmith@reesegroupinc.com.
