Radnor Lake Service days
Volunteers, along with the Radnor Lake Ranger Staff, meet on the fourth Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. until noon, and at other times designated by the park, at the Visitor Center off of Granny White Pike. Projects include exotic plant removal, mulching trails, and planting native vegetation. Friends of Radnor Lake provides bottled water, insect repellent, gloves, and other supplies so all you need to do is show up ready to work.
Summer/fall 2018 dates/times:
Saturday, July 28th: 8am-noon
Saturday, August 25th: 8am-noon
Friday, September 28th: 2pm-6pm National Public Lands Day
Friday, October 26th: 2pm-6pm
Saturday, November 24th: 8am-noon
Scouts need to wear their Class B shirts and parents will be required to sign a waiver/permission form on the day of the event. In addition, scouts will need to bring back a form signed by one of the Rangers showing that they completed the hours. We do not create Sign-up Genius links for these two days, but if you intend to volunteer or just have questions, please contact Mrs. Myers at firstname.lastname@example.org or 615-426-6198.
